If you worked the polls during the election, you received payment from the GNWT. The amount you received is considered taxable income under the Income Tax Act

Four Candidates Penalized for Late Filing
The Chief Electoral Officer has fined four candidates $250 and given them 30 days to file candidate financial reports.
