How to Make a Complaint
If you have reason to believe that there has been a violation of the Elections and Plebiscites Act, you may file a written complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer.

You are asked to provide:
- your name, address, telephone number, email address
- a factual description of the matter, including dates, circumstances, actions or inactions that you believe may be an offence
- the section of the Act that you believe has been violated
- copies of any documents you believe to be relevant
Complaints will be reviewed by the Chief Electoral Officer in order to determine validity and to decide whether or not further action is warranted. The Chief Electoral Officer seeks to resolve matters in a thorough and timely manner.
