On May 28, 2014, members of the Legislative Assembly passed Bill 18 – an Act to Amend the Legislative Assembly and Executive Council Act, which created new electoral districts (ridings) for the NWT.

The new districts take effect upon the dissolution of the 17th Assembly on October 25, 2015 and will apply to the 2015 Territorial General Election, taking place November 23, 2015.

Voters and potential candidates are encouraged to visit www.electionsnwt.ca/districts to familiarize themselves with the new boundaries and district names.
