These are unofficial numbers, compiling results coming in from each polling station as they close at 8 PM* and complete their ballot count. Official results will be published once Returning Officers conduct official addition and complete their Returns of the Writ of Election.

*Except Dettah, which closes at 8:26 PM due to a late start.

Regarding recounts: Subsection 206(1) of the Act requires Returning Officers to make an application to a judge for a recount if, after the official addition, a tie occurs between two candidates, or the number of votes separating the candidate with the most votes from any other candidate is less than two percent of the total votes cast. If any such cases occur, the subsequent judicial recount will take place in the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories.
