Elections NWT is mailing out Voter Information Cards to all registered electors.
These cards contain information about where and when to vote and how to contact Returning Officers.
The Voter Information Card cannot be used as proof of identity and residence at the polls.
If an elector receives a card addressed to them but with incorrect information, they can correct any errors when they attend their poll.
If an elector receives a card addressed to someone who no longer lives at that address, they should return the card to their Returning Officer or Deputy Community Returning Officer.
If an elector does not receive a Voter Information Card, they can register to vote when they attend their poll. Sufficient proof of identity and residence will be required.
A list of identification options can be found at:
www.electionsnwt.ca/voter-identification.
